I'm afraid to go to the dentist, but I know that I should. What can I do? Can you do anything to help me relax?
You are not alone; going to the dentist is definitely not the intimidating experience that it once was. In fact our dental office prides itself on being a calm and friendly environment that will allow you to relax and feel more at ease with your situation. However, if you are one of those people who still have a bit of apprehension or still feel a bit uneasy about visiting the dentist, there are several things that you can do to make your visit more enjoyable rather than dreadful.

First, make your appointment at a time where you typically feel a bit more in control of your life. For example, sometimes people may schedule their appointment towards the end of the day after the hustle and bustle of the workday has ended, rather than making their appointment earlier in the day when these same stresses can compound their apprehension.

Second, with the advent of MP3 players and compact disk players, our patients bring their own soothing music to be enjoyed and to muffle the noises sometimes associated with your dental visit. In addition, office is equipped with televisions conveniently mounted on the ceiling so you can again be distracted while your dental visit progresses at a steady pace.

Third, for those of you who are still a tad uneasy about your visit, our office is equipped with Nitrous Oxide, more
commonly known as laughing gas, which can help you relax even more.

These are just a few of the things that can be done to accommodate anyone who is somewhat apprehensive about their dental visit. Consulting with Dr. Ortmeier and Dr. Fournier will help them customize a more enjoyable experience for you also.


Are you accepting new patients?
The Dodge Dental Office is currently accepting new patients. We always enjoy adding members of our dental family who value complete dental health. Dr.'s Ortmeier and Fournier are happy to visit with you to insure that you will be a good fit for our practice and ultimately, that our practice will be a good fit for you.


Do you accept referrals?
Dr.'s Ortmeier and Fournier are flattered when many of our patients refer their friends and family to our office. Our practice grows and flourishes because of the wonderful testimonials and glowing reports of our existing patients. The Doctors feel strongly that everyone who is a patient at the Dodge Dental Office should be treated with as much kindness and dignity as they would bestow on any member of their own family.


When can I schedule an appointment?
Appointments are typically scheduled between the hours of 8:10 am to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays.


What if I need to cancel an appointment? Will I be charged?
Cancellations, while they are certainly not readily welcomed by our practice, are unfortunately a part of everyone's life. The Dodge Dental Office is certainly not an exception to that rule. In the case of an emergency or unforeseen conflict of time, we understand that life happens and unless a pattern emerges, you will not be charged for an occasional cancellation.

We truly value our patient's time and dedicate ourselves to be on time. We feel that we have an unspoken agreement with our patients they will make every effort to be on time as well. However, in the instance where there is truly a need to break that agreement, we make every effort to cordial and accommodating.

We will try to reschedule at a time that is convenient for both parties. In the event that a pattern develops of continued failure to keep your appointment, you could potentially be asked to pay for the time that we reserved for you in our schedule or even worse, we reserve the right to dismiss you from the practice. In short, we believe strongly in keeping our agreement to be here and available to you at the agreed upon time and we hope our patients would extend the same courtesy to us.


I'm a new patient and know there are probably forms to be filled out. Can I do it in advance?
New patients of the Dodge Dental Office will be sent a welcome packet, which consists of a Welcome brochure, Health history, Office policy, and HIPPA form. Those pieces of information can be completed in advance of your first visit to our office for your convenience and to speed your new patient visit.


Can I choose which dentist works with me or which hygienist helps with my continuing dental health visit?
Dr. Ortmeier and Dr. Fournier as well as Jill Becher RDH and Danelle Smith RDH understand the complexities of dental therapy and we also know the bonds that are developed between our patients and us. That bond is very special and in fact is relished by us as well as our patients. Therefore we do not dictate to anyone whom he or she will see and if you request a certain provider; we will make every effort to schedule you accordingly. We also know that your time is valuable and if you do not have a preference we will schedule you with the provider that can most easily accommodate your busy schedule.


What are the different payment options you provide?
Dental health is very important. Sometimes dental treatment can be more of an investment than some can conveniently budget at the time of treatment. Therefore, we have established several convenient ways to pay for the treatment that you and Dr. Ortmeier or Dr. Fournier decides is best for you. There are discounts for payment in full at time of service, There are payment plans available for in house financing and for larger treatment plans we can work with several major lenders, some even without interest, to make your payments even easier on your budget. As an added convenience, we accept most major credit cards also.
